After sixteen days, 76 official engagements and a staggering 114 fashion items valued at around $211,000 (GBP £117,000), the Duke and Duchess of Sussex‘s royal tour is over.

But speculation hasn’t quite stopped over how they performed, and which of Meghan Markle’s outfits were the most popular.

Now, hundreds of members of the public have weighed in on their favourite Meghan Markle looks from the tour, voting for their favourite formal, casual and working outfit on the popular blog, Meghan’s Mirror

There was one look they loved above all others – Meghan’s Oscar de la Renta gown worn in Sydney.

FAVOURITE FORMAL LOOK

A royal tour is always about the ballgowns, the tiaras and the excess.

And so in some ways, it’s no surprise that the favourite ‘formal’ look from Meghan by far was the embellished Oscar de la Renta gown worn to the Australian Geographic Awards at the Shangri-La hotel in Sydney.

The elaborate $18,000 (GBP £10,000) creation featured a cropped tulle section, as well as embellishments by Parisian designer, Sarah Esmoingt.

The dress has a huge 52 per cent of the public vote at present.

FAVOURITE CASUAL LOOK

A royal tour requires plenty of engagements, meetings and walkabouts, and so a decent casual wardrobe is paramount to sartorial success.

Meghan did not disappoint in this respect, debuting any number of stylish outfits.

The most popular of these with readers of Meghan’s Mirror was the Duchess’s Martin Grant striped dress, which she wore to Bondi Beach. 

The elegant summer dress gained 30 per cent of the public vote, with Meghan’s simple Reformation dress on Fraser Island coming in second with 23.95 per cent.

A close third went to the oversized blazer and Outland jeans outfit from Dubbo, with 23.19 per cent.

The 37-year-old pregnant royal’s white blazer, Mother Denim black jeans and Oroton clutch came fourth, with ten per cent of the vote.

FAVOURITE WORKING LOOK  

Last but not least, royal watchers and fans in their hundreds cast their votes for their favourite ‘working’ look from the Duchess of Sussex.

In contention were the Givenchy blue skirt and sweater, the Scanlan Theodore blazer, the Figue pink floral dress, the Dion Lee dress and trench, the Karen Gee white dress and the Brandon Maxwell dress, again with the Martin Grant trench coat.

The Scanlan Theodore blazer came out on top, with 25 per cent of the vote, followed by the white ‘Blessed’ Karen Gee style with 24.6 per cent.

Fashion lovers voted for the Givenchy custom-made ensemble in third, with 21 per cent of the vote. 

The pink floral dress received 13 per cent, while the Dion Lee dress got 11 per cent and Brandon Maxwell received four per cent.
